RollCall – Attendance Tracker
Last updated: May 26, 2026
This policy applies only to RollCall. For PixelVolt's general practices, visit pixelvoltapps.in/privacyPolicy.
1. Introduction
RollCall helps you track attendance and manage timetables. This policy explains what stays on your device, how advertising works, what permissions are used for, and how to contact us.
2. No Account Required
RollCall does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. We do not operate a server that stores your timetable, attendance records, or the name you enter in the app.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Information you enter—such as your display name, attendance target, timetable, subjects, notes, reminders, and preferences—is stored only on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage).
We do not receive or access this data on our servers. It is not uploaded to PixelVolt unless you use a feature that explicitly sends data elsewhere you choose (for example, sharing a timetable over local Wi‑Fi).
You can remove this data anytime by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
RollCall is supported by ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Ads may include native ads on some screens and app open ads when you open or return to the app (not shown until you complete initial setup, such as entering your name).
When ads are shown, Google may process limited information, including device or advertising identifiers, IP address (which may estimate approximate location), device metadata, ad interaction events, and diagnostic data related to ad delivery.
Learn more in Google's policies:
We do not sell your timetable or attendance data to advertisers.
5. Advertising Choices
RollCall does not currently show a separate in-app consent form for ads. Ads may be personalized where permitted by your device and region settings.
You can limit personalized ads or reset your advertising identifier in Android Settings → Google → Ads, and in your Google Account ad settings where available.
If we add an in-app consent prompt in a future update for regions where required by law, this policy will be updated.
6. Permissions
RollCall may request permissions only to support features you use:
- Internet — load and display ads; general network use
- Notifications — class reminders and attendance alerts you enable
- Camera — when you use features that need the camera
- Location — local Wi‑Fi timetable sharing/receiving when you use that feature
- Wi‑Fi, nearby devices, Bluetooth — discover or connect for timetable share/receive
These are not used by PixelVolt to build a profile on our servers. You can revoke permissions in Settings → Apps → RollCall → Permissions.
7. Data Security
Local app data remains on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Data sent to Google for advertising is protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS as implemented by Google's SDKs.
8. Children's Privacy
RollCall is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own systems. If you are a parent or guardian with concerns, contact us below.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data (timetable, attendance, name) remains until you clear app data or uninstall. Ad-related data is governed by Google's policies.
To delete local RollCall data: clear storage for RollCall or uninstall. For ad-related data: use Android/Google ad settings in Section 5.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app and/or on our website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
