Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

1Introduction

Welcome to PixelVolt ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy applies to all PixelVolt products — including our website (pixelvoltapps.in), mobile applications, games, and web-based tools (collectively, "Services").

Because our products vary in features and functionality, not every section of this policy will apply to every product. Where a section applies only to specific apps or features, we clearly say so. By using any of our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Some apps also have their own privacy policies with product-specific details: RollCall · InnerSelf.

2Information We Collect

On Our Website

Contact & Inquiry Data

Our website does not require account creation. If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect only the information you voluntarily provide — such as your name and email address — solely to respond to your inquiry.

Website Usage Data

We collect anonymised data about how visitors interact with our website — including pages visited, time spent, and browser type — via Firebase and Google Analytics. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

In Our Apps & Games

Local Data Storage

Many of our apps store data exclusively on your device — such as attendance records, diary entries, game progress, preferences, settings, and optional custom home screen icon choices. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us unless you explicitly enable a cloud feature.

Account Information (where applicable)

Some apps offer optional account creation or sign-in via Google. If you use this feature, we collect limited information such as your email identifier to provide account-based functionality like referral tracking or reward management. This data is stored securely using Firebase services.

Device & Usage Data

We collect anonymised data about how you use our apps — including features used, screens visited, session duration, and crash reports — via Firebase Analytics. We may also collect device information such as device type, operating system version, IP address, and unique device identifiers.

In-App Purchase & Subscription Data (where applicable)

Apps with paid features process transactions through Google Play Billing and/or RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details. We receive only confirmation of the transaction and your current subscription or purchase status.

3How We Use Your Information

We use collected data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our Services
  • To enable core app functionality such as local data storage and features
  • To process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions where applicable
  • To improve, personalise, and expand our Services
  • To understand how users interact with our apps and games
  • To manage optional features such as referrals, cloud backup, and rewards
  • To send local device notifications such as reminders where you have enabled them
  • To send important service-related communications
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations

4Advertising — Google AdMob

Some of our apps and games display advertisements served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising platform operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use data from your device — including your advertising ID, IP address, and usage data — to serve personalised advertisements based on your interests.

Where required by law, consent for personalised advertising will be requested before ads are shown. If consent is not granted, non-personalised ads may be displayed instead.

You can opt out of personalised advertising on Android by going to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation. For more details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

5Analytics — Firebase & Google Analytics

We use Firebase and Google Analytics across our apps, games, and website to understand how users interact with our products. These tools collect anonymised usage data such as session duration, screens visited, crash reports, and feature engagement. This data is used solely to improve our products and is not used to identify individual users.

Firebase is also used for optional backend features in specific apps such as referral tracking and reward management. Firebase's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

6Subscriptions & In-App Purchases (where applicable)

Some PixelVolt apps offer optional paid subscriptions or one-time in-app purchases, processed through Google Play Billing and/or RevenueCat. We do not handle or store your payment details directly.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel at any time through Play Store → Subscriptions. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy.

7Optional Features & Third-Party Services

Certain apps include optional features powered by third-party services. These are only activated when you choose to use them:

Cloud Backup

Some apps offer optional cloud backup via your personal Google Drive account. If enabled, your data is stored in your own Drive and is not accessible by us outside of backup and restore functionality.

Referral System

Some apps include a referral system that uses Google Sign-In and Firebase to track referral counts and manage rewards. Only limited data such as your email identifier and referral count is stored for this purpose.

Weather & Location

Some apps offer optional weather features using Open-Meteo and your device's location services. Location data is used only to fetch local weather and is not stored or shared by us. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings.

Device Permissions

Our apps may request permissions such as notifications, camera, microphone, location, and nearby device access to enable specific features you choose to use. These permissions are not used to collect personal profile data and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

All third-party services process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them independently.

8Custom Home Screen Icons (InnerSelf)

InnerSelf offers an optional feature that lets you choose an alternate home screen icon style for personalization and home screen customization. On supported devices, alternate icon styles may include different launcher labels for customization purposes. Depending on your app version, this feature may be included with a Premium subscription or available without one.

  • Regardless of the selected icon style, the application remains InnerSelf and provides the same functionality — opening it still launches your diary after any PIN or biometric unlock.
  • Alternate icons and labels are provided only as visual customization options and do not represent affiliation with, endorsement by, or impersonation of any third-party application, brand, or service.
  • Your icon preference is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store this choice on our servers.
  • You can switch back to the default icon at any time from Profile → Custom App Icons.
  • Changing the launcher icon does not encrypt your device, hide data from device owners or administrators, or prevent access through backups, screen recording, or lawful device inspection.

For the full InnerSelf privacy policy, see InnerSelf: Diary with Lock — Privacy Policy.

9Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or app content to any third party. We share limited data only with the third-party service providers required to operate our Services — such as Google (AdMob, Firebase, Analytics), RevenueCat, and Open-Meteo — and only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant functionality.

Your diary entries, game progress, attendance records, or any other core app content are never shared with unauthorised parties.

10Children's Privacy

Our Services are generally not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some apps may be suitable for younger users with parental consent and supervision — in such cases the minimum age is noted within the specific app.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

11Cookies & Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience and analyse traffic. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some website features may not function correctly without them.

Our mobile apps do not use browser cookies but may use equivalent technologies such as advertising IDs and device identifiers for analytics and advertising purposes as described in this policy.

12Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete the app or remove it manually. Google Drive backup data is fully controlled by you. Account-related data stored via Firebase is retained for as long as the relevant feature is active.

If you request deletion of your data, we will process your request within 30 days and delete all personally identifiable information we hold, except where retention is required by law. Third-party services may retain usage data according to their own policies.

13Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable laws including GDPR (EU/UK) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023:

  • Access — Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your data within 30 days
  • Portability — Request a machine-readable copy of your data
  • Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent for personalised ads or optional features (such as custom app icons, location, ads, or referrals) at any time
  • Local Control — Edit or delete your local app data directly through the app at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

14Data Protection & Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Sensitive local data such as PINs and security settings are stored in hashed or encrypted form on your device. We use secure SDKs and continuously review our security practices.

However, no system is 100% secure. For locally stored data, the physical security of your device is your responsibility. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted over the internet.

15Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app, via email, or via a notice on our website. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
